I'm not trying to undo a single transaction. I'd like to start fresh

You can only reverse individual transactions one at a time in QuickBooks Online, Burlco. I can supply the necessary information to assist you in initiating a new reconciliation process.

The option to Undo a reconciled period is only available in QuickBooks Online Accountant. For other versions, you can delete reconciled transactions one by one. However, if you have an accountant, I recommend inviting them so that they can handle it all at once.

Follow the steps below to proceed:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu and select the Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the account in question by clicking View Register under the Action column.
  3. On the bank register, an R indicates the transaction as reconciled in the checkmark column.
  4. Repeatedly tap this box to change the status to blank. This action removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
  5. Press Save.

Continue this process for the remaining transactions. For more guidance, refer to this article: Undo or remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.

Since removing entries from the reconciled period may impact your balance on previous and future reconciliations, I recommend consulting with an accountant. They can suggest other methods of dealing with this situation. If you don't have one, visit this link to find a certified
