How do unreconcile and entire account? I was trying to reconcile a January 2024 on a credit card statement and somehow all of 2024 in that ledger was reconciled.

You can contact your accountant or manually undo the reconciliation, nkilbourne. I'll share more details about the process.

The undo reconciliation feature is available in QuickBooks Online Accountant. With this, you can contact your accountant as they can undo multiple reconciliations without manually editing individual transactions within the register.

You can forward this article to them for guidance: Undo your client’s reconciliations with QuickBooks Online Accountant.

If you prefer to do it by yourself, follow these instructions to undo reconciled transactions one at a time:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu. Then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account and select View Register
  3. Review the check column. If the transaction is reconciled, you’ll see an “R.”
  4. Select the box and keep clicking it until it's blank. It removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
  5. Repeat for any other transactions you need to unreconcile.
  6. Click Save.
