Hello there, @ronabel-hipolito. I'll share some insights on how you can match a bank transaction to a reconciled transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Reconciled transactions will no longer show up when matching transactions from the For review tab. You'll have to unreconcile them so they'll show up when looking for a match. Then, make sure to reconcile them again so they will not affect or cause issues in your account balances.

 

If you have an accountant, you can reach out to them and follow the steps in this article on how they can undo your entire reconciliation: Undo your client's reconciliations with QuickBooks Online Accountant.

 

If you're not affiliated with one, you can manually unreconcile the transaction so you can match it to the transaction in the For review tab. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, and select the Chart of accounts.
  2. Open the account that has the reconciled transaction, then click  View register.
  3. You'll see an "R" in the checkmark ✔ column.
  4. Select the box and keep clicking it until the box is blank. This removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
  5. Click Save and proceed to the rest of the transactions. 

 

Once done, proceed to the Banking section and match the transactions. You can use this article for reference: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

 

Once everything's good with matching your transactions, you can proceed to reconcile your account in QBO. If everything matches, you know your accounts are balanced and accurate. We recommend reconciling your checking, savings, and credit card accounts every month.
