Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community, gene-harrison-hi. Please know that the supported file formats you can use to import information to QuickBooks Online are CSV, XLS/XLSX, and Google Sheets. That said, downloading an IIF file to QBO is currently unavailable. I'll be providing further information about this so you can import your data to QBO smoothly.

To start with, I recommend converting your IIF files to a supported format before you can import them. There are plenty of file converters that you can search online. Once you're all set up and ready, you can click each article below to be guided in importing your data:

Furthermore, you can also use a third-party importer tool that can directly import IIF into the program. To do this, go to our QuickBooks App Market or select the Apps menu within your QBO account.

Here's how:

  1. From the left menu, select Apps.
  2. Go to the Find apps tab.
  3. Choose the Browse category ▼ dropdown menu to check out different apps.

Lastly, you can open this article if you need different guidelines on how you can effectively manage your business using QBO: Help guide for QuickBooks Online

Let me know if you have other questions about this concern or if there are other transactions you need to record in QuickBooks. I'm always glad to walk you through the process, gene-harrison-hi. Have a great day!

@gene-harrison-hi

You can open IIF file in Excel and save it as CSV. Then use an importer tool to proceed
