How do you fix double entries appearing in drop down menu?

If I try to add an invoice from the invoice screen, the customer drop down shows two entries for each customer. Likewise, if I wish to add a bill from the bill screen, shows two entries for each vendor.

Double entries in your customers and vendors dropdown may be due to your browser's cache being full, @Cynthia S. To fix this, let's do some troubleshooting steps.

 

To begin, open a private browser window. Here are some keyboard shortcuts to use for the most popular browsers:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

Once you've opened an incognito window, log in to your QuickBooks account if the duplicate entries are gone. If yes, proceed to clear your browser's cache. This process will remove and fix specific issues and help the program run optimally. Also, you can use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.

 

Additionally, you can run a customer and vendor report to get an overview of their transactions.
