Hi @mcromartie61-gma.

I'll help you record the cashback against a credit card credit.

Here's how:

  1. Select + New.
  2. Select Credit card credit.
  3. Find the appropriate account from the Bank/Credit Account drop-down box.
  4. Under the Category details, select the account that you have for your cashback rewards whether expense/income account as you see fit.
Note: If you don't have an account to track your cashback rewards, you need to create one.
  5. Enter the other needed information.
  6. Select Save and close.

Alternatively, you can create a bank deposit to record the credit against a credit card. You can follow the steps through this article: Record and make bank deposits in QuickBooks Online.

When your credit card account is connected to QuickBooks Online banking, you can match the credit card transactions to transactions recorded in QuickBooks. You can reference this article for more details: Categorize and Match Online Bank Transactions.

Visit and tag me again here if there's anything else I can do to help with recording transactions. Have a good day!
