How long before monies are deposited in my business account once they have been paid by the customer

I'm here to share how long it takes to post the deposit to your business account, Rcjarvis.

The best place to start is with processing time. The deposit speed depends on the product you're using and the type of payment.

Standard Deposits are processed every day except Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas day. While Instant Deposits are every day of the year, with no exceptions. 

 Please check the deposit speed from QuickBooks Online. Here's how:

1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and settings.
2. Select the Payments tab.
3. Review the Deposit Speed section.

Another variable that can affect processing time is the time of day. If customers pay before 3 PM PT, we'll deposit them in your bank account on the next business day. If they pay after 3 PM PT, we'll deposit those payments in two business days. 

Credit card payments typically deposit in about 2-3 business days and free ACH Bank Transfer payments are deposited in about 2-7 business days.

Please know that if you're new to QuickBooks Payments, your funds will be held for five business days. If QuickBooks requires anything during or after this review, you'll receive an email. Please keep an eye on your inbox for any communications about funds on hold reviews. 

You can also check the status of the payment in the Merchant Center. If you see the word “Withheld” in the Method column, that means the payment is on hold.
