Question

How long will it take quickbooks to clear an incoming credit card payment? When will they deduct their fee? How can I transfer the funds to my non QB bank account?

Thank you for reaching out to us, jaimesk.

When it comes to processing incoming credit card payments, please keep in mind that the time it takes can vary. While we try our best to expedite transactions, the actual duration may depend on certain factors.

If this is your first set of payments, also known as a batch, then it may take up to 5 business days for us to deposit the payment. Please note that the initial deposits may take a bit longer as we set up your account. However, once everything is set up, we'll be able to deposit customer payments much faster.

We offer different payment methods such as credit card, PayPal, Venmo, and ACH payments. If you process customer payments before 3 PM PT, we will deposit them in your bank account the next business day. However, if you process payments after 3 PM PT, they will be deposited in two business days. Additionally, all payments are processed daily, and you can expect to receive the deposit the very next day.

To check the current deposit speed:

  1. Go to Settings and select Account and settings.
  2. Select the Payments tab.
  3. . Look for the Deposit Speed section and review the information provided.

In terms of fee deduction, QuickBooks Online (QBO) automatically deducts its service fee at the time your customer pays you. This deduction is seamlessly integrated into the deposit process, ensuring transparency and accuracy in financial reporting. You can review the breakdown of fees within your QBO account for comprehensive tracking and reconciliation.

Now, for transferring funds to a non-QuickBooks bank account, here's how:

  1. Go to Banking services, then select QuickBooks Checking.
  2. Select Transfer and then Transfer money and enter the amount you want to transfer.
  3. Select your QuickBooks Checking account in the From dropdown and To dropdown to your connected bank account.
  4. Click Next. Then, select Finish transfer.
