How to change my verification phone number

Hello All!

We are trying to change our bank accounts and it needs a verification code in order to do that... the phone number that is sending or calling is no longer active. I've tried calling customer support for three days now, they answer and I sit on the phone with them for threes hours and then all they can do is send me a link but they never send me a link. My employees are not getting paid due to quick books not giving me any help trying to change my account contact.. Help Please!!!

We've got your back, @hayleeb. We'll help you change the phone number used to receive the verification code so you can continue and change your payroll bank account inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Before anything else, know that this isn't the experience we'd want you to have when using QuickBooks Online (QBO). You'll want to go to the Payroll settings to modify the phone number used. We'll write down the steps to get you going:

 

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the top-right corner, click the Gear icon.
  3. Choose Payroll settings.
  4. Scroll down to the Contact information section, and then click the Pencil icon.
  5. Enter the necessary details.
  6. Once done, click the Save button.

 

After modifying your contact information, proceed to change your payroll bank account. Refer to this article for more information: Change your payroll bank account.

How can you change the phone number when you have to verify the phone number you no longer have with a code you can't receive because you don't have that phone number anymore?

Let me help you update your phone number in QuickBooks, Kevraycan. 

 

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can update or change your phone number without having a code to send in the previous number. You'll just have to fill out the recovery form that I'll provide so that QBO will process your request within one business day. Please know that we don't have access to change or update your phone. Thus, only you can change your information. 

 

Follow these steps: 

 

  1. Take a high-quality photo or scan of your driver's license, state ID, passport, or notarized document.
  2. Fill out the form below with your info, and upload your ID or document.
  3. Look for an email from no_response@intuit.com with the next steps. If we approve your request, you'll receive a link to reset your password.

 

You can go to this website to request a recovery form and to learn more about changing your contact info: Recover your Intuit Account if you can’t sign in. 

 

Furthermore, you can also edit or change employee info in payroll in case your employee changes their name, bank account, and others.
