It's good to see you here in the Community, @isaacmelody-sbcg

Converting a .QBO file into a CSV file is easy peasy. And I'd be happy to guide you through the steps.

  1. Open the .qbo file on your computer.
  2. On the Save as type, choose CSV
  3. Click Save

However, if you don't have this option, you can consider looking for a third-party application that can help convert the file.

After converting the file, you may want to import your transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed manually. For more guidance, feel free to check out this article: Manually import transactions.

Keep in touch if you need any more assistance converting a file, or there's something else I can do for you. I've got your back.

Hi Donkey12,

Thanks for joining the thread! May I know what code you're referring to? And are you trying to sign up for a QuickBooks Online trial file? If yes, you can visit our website at https://quickbooks.intuit.com/au/ to sign up for a free trial account.

If you wanted to transfer your data to QuickBooks Online, we have MMC Convert our data migration supplier that help us migrate customer data over from other accounting software programs. You can check it here the list of software that can be converted to QuickBooks Online.

To give you an overview, here's how does the data migration process work.

  1. Sign up for QuickBooks Online (if you haven't already, sign up either Essentials or Plus).
  2. Get your existing file up to date.
  3. Reset your QuickBooks Account (if required).
  4. Place a conversion request.
  5. Once the conversion is complete, review and approve your data.

For more detailed information, you can check this article: Frequently asked questions about bringing your data to QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have any other questions, I'll be around to help. Have a nice day!
