Hello @userkim,

In QuickBooks Online, you can change the account used in a deposit to correct the posting account. Let me walk you through the steps on how to accomplish this.

  1. Go to Accounting.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find your bank account from the list of accounts.
  4. Under ACTION, select View register.
  5. Open the deposit in question.
  6. On the Account menu, select your checking account instead of the bank account used to correct your deposit.
  7. Click Save and close.

In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about how you can create a bank deposit: Record and make bank deposits in QuickBooks Online.

Lastly, I've also included this helpful article for the steps in case you need to start balancing your account register: How to reconcile your accounts so they always match your bank and credit card statements?
