Entering a deposit in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is quick and easy, Jovante. I'm glad to walk you through the steps.

To verify, are you referring to recording a regular deposit into your bank or credit card account in QBO? If so, kindly follow these steps:

  1. Click the + New menu from the upper-left corner of your screen and select Bank deposit.
  2. Choose the account where you want to allocate the deposit from the Account dropdown. Then, Modify the deposit Date accordingly.
  3. Fill in the accurate information in the Add funds to this deposit section.
  4. Double-check everything, and once set, hit Save and close.

However, if you mean recording a cash deposit directly into your QuickBooks Checking account, this is not an option in QuickBooks. Instead, you may deposit the amount into your external bank account and record a fund transfer into your QuickBooks Checking account afterward.

To proceed, please set up and connect the bank account to QuickBooks Checking if it's not connected yet to ensure a seamless transfer between accounts. After that, we can now initiate the transfer by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Lending & banking menu and pick QuickBooks Checking.
  2. Tick Transfer and click Transfer money.
  3. Input the amount you want to transfer.
  4. Select your connected bank account the deposit is coming from on the From▼ dropdown.
  5. Choose your QuickBooks Checking account from the To ▼ dropdown.
  6. Once done, hit Next. Then, Finish transfer.

For future reference, I'll include these articles to help you maximize the mobile check deposit feature and enter your transactions in QuickBooks to track and manage them in the program:
