Let me assist you in disconnecting a bank or credit account from QuickBooks Online, @songb60.

When you disconnect a bank or credit card account, QuickBooks Online (QBO) stops downloading any new transactions from that account. Disconnecting an account from online banking does not affect your current accounting data. Nonetheless, it'll remove transactions in the For Review tab.

Here's how to disconnect:

  1. Go to Bank Transactions.
  2. Locate the bank account you want to disconnect and click the pencil icon.
  3. Select Edit account info.
  4. Check the box that says Disconnect this account on save.
  5. Click on Save and Close to confirm the disconnection.

You can check this article for the complete details: Disconnect accounts connected to online banking in QuickBooks Online. It also gives you insights about the distinction between disconnecting and deactivating a bank account in QBO.

I'm also adding these articles that'll help you categorize and add missing or old transactions into QBO:
