I did an invoice and charged a customer's credit card and it now shows a zero balance, but it does not show up in the transaction/deposit list.

Let me guide you on how to get credit card payments to show up in QuickBooks Online.

To show the invoice and charge on the customer's credit card you created, you can access the Invoices and Received Payments Report, here's how:

Here's how:

  1. At the left navigation panel, select Reports.
  2. In the search bar type Invoices and Received Payments Report
  3. Click the Customize button.
  4. Under the Rows/Columns section, check the box for Payment Method.
  5. Select Run report

You can also access this with the same steps for Transaction List by Customer. You just have to make sure you customize the report by checking the box on Payment Method.

Here's a photo for reference:

For future task, you can memorize this report to simplify the customization process, allowing you to concentrate on other essential tasks.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to assist you with managing your reports in QuickBooks Online. Take care!
