How to import data from desktop to online

Here's how to import your Quickbooks Desktop data to QuickBooks Online:

1. Log in to your QuickBooks Desktop, then click Company and select Export Company File to Quickbooks Online.

2. Enter your QuickBooks Online log in credentials on the QuickBooks Online login screen.

3. you can choose whether you want to import your inventory data.
4. On the dropdown list, select the company you want to import or select the create New Online Company option to create a new one.
5. Click the Continue button then click OK.

Make sure you are migrating from any supporting QB Desktop version (i.e 2018-2021) and your Total Targets < 350K to QB Online.
