Welcome to the Community space, @mirandah-renoort.

Here are some insights about importing your Sage 100 files to QuickBooks Online (QBO) correctly.

When you import your data from Sage 100 to QBO, keep in mind that you can only bring the following information:

  • Customer
  • Vendors
  • Products and services
  • Accounts

Make sure to use CSV (Comma Separated Values) or XLS/XLSX file formats to import your data. This way, you'll import the data to QBO smoothly. You need to import the data in a specific order for them to be accurate.

You need to import the customer and vendor first. You can easily import your customer or vendor contacts from Outlook, Excel, or Gmail. For detailed steps on how to do this, please refer to the following article: Import customer or vendor contacts from Outlook, Excel or Gmail. This article also contains important information that you need to know before performing the import process.

Then, import your products and services, followed by invoices and bills. Check out these articles to learn how to import each to QBO:

For your bills, you'll need a third-party app to import your file to QBO. Here's a link for that: QuickBooks Apps Store.

I've included some frequently asked questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online in this article: Common questions about importing data.

Comment on this thread if you have a follow-up question on importing your data and for QBO-related questions. Have a great day.

You can buy a 3rd party conversion service or use an importer tool.
