Hi, @arkvalleyinfo. I appreciate you asking the Community.

To clarify, may I know if you have set up Business Overage accounts to link with your online banking? This way, I can share some insights to help pick correct account type.

If not, I suggest checking with your accountant to verify if the business overage is the correct account type or if there's a specific account type to track the Business Overage accounts. And making sure you're recording the amounts in your books accurately. You can also utilize this website if you don't have an accountant to assist you with setting up your account.

However, if you're creating accounts to track your total cash flow for the day in your cash drawer to record a cash shortage or overage, you can reference this article: Record a cash shortage or overage. The steps outlined are for the QuickBooks Desktop version, but the steps you can take are also applicable to QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, I'd like to place these articles for guidance in linking bank accounts and adding new books to track your income and expenses:

I'll wait for additional details to ensure everything is seamless while recording your transactions. If you have other QuickBooks concerns, please don't hesitate to comment. I'll be here to help. Stay safe and well!
