how to make changes after we reconcile Quickbooks Online

I'm here to share details about recategorizing reconciled transactions in QuickBooks Online.

In your case, we need to undo the reconciliation delete the transfer, and then re-enter the information into the appropriate account.

If you know which entry you need to change, you can edit the transaction by clicking the Gear icon at the top of the page and the Chart of Accounts tab under the Your Company column.

Then, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Chart of Accounts.
2. Search for the correct account of the transaction in question.
3. From the Action column, select View register.
4. Locate the transaction to edit.
5. In the reconcile status column (indicated by a checkmark), repeatedly select the top line to change the status.

• C - Cleared from the bank
• R - Reconciled
• Blank - Not cleared or reconciled

Furthermore, if you need to start over, I'd suggest reaching out to your accountant and letting your accountant undo the reconciliation.
