How do you get a future date to print on a bank deposit slip?

Example: I create the deposit today, 02/16/24, but I won't get to the bank until tomorrow, 02/17/24, to deposit it. So, I want the date that prints on the deposit slip to be 02/17/2024 but I am going to print it today 02/16/24.

Thank you for posting your concern, SSCarson1111. Let me provide you with some details about producing deposit slips for future dates.

The deposit slip is based on the current date. So, we'll want to change the "Summary of Deposits to [bank account] On" date.

You'll also want to consider downloading the deposit slip, then manually edit the date.

Thank you for your reply.

Regarding this part: "So, we'll want to change the "Summary of Deposits to [bank account] On" date."

Is that the "Date" box that has a little calendar in it at the top of the "Bank Deposit" page?  If so, I have changed the date in that box to the date I want printed on my deposit slip, and it still prints the current date.

Thank you for coming back to the Community, SSCarson1111.

I recognize the importance of being able to print bank deposit slips for future dates, and I'm here to assist you in attaining this goal.

Yes, you're correct. The date displayed in the Summary of Deposits section is pulled from the Date box, which is located on the Bank Deposit page (little calendar box). As the date shows the current one, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to address the issue.

The system's accumulated site data can become outdated, resulting in odd behavior in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Launching the program in incognito mode prevents internet files from being saved, eliminating the potential for webpage issues.

Here are the shortcut keys to bring up private browsing:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Once logged in, enter a future date in the Date field and print the deposit slip summary. If this works, clear the default browser's cache to free up space on your device and improve browsing performance. Otherwise, utilize other supported browsers as an alternative. This will help identify if the current one you're using is the issue.
