As I was reviewing my expenses, realized that transactions were not downloaded from the cc company and don't know why. I've tried to import a clean csv file, yet it won't upload.

You can use the trial version of csv2qbo converter tool to isolate the problem.

Hello there,

Let me help you upload your bank transactions into your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account.

Once you’re bank account is connected, we pull as much of your income and spending transaction data as possible. However, the amount of data we can bring in when you first connect an account depends entirely on your bank. It usually ranges from 30 to 90 days. If you want to bring in data that precedes this period, you'll need to export it from your bank first, and then import it into your QBSE account.

To help us resolve the problem of why you're unable to import the CSV file, let’s check if the format of your file is one of the accepted formats for importing transactions:

  • Make sure the file is in a CSV (comma-separated values) format.
  • Check if the file has blank lines, if it does delete them.
  • Please make sure to select the column header labels (from the dropdowns) that match the column header labels in your CSV file.
  • Your CSV file should contain the following information: Date, Description and Amount.

Once the format is verified, kindly try importing again using the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Imports.
  3. Choose the account you want to import into. Make sure it's the same account you downloaded data from.
  4. Follow the instructions to finish importing your data.

After completing the process, you'll receive a message that the import was successful. And now, you're all set to review and categorize your transactions to put them in your accounts.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you require additional assistance in importing transactions. I'm always here to help.
