Question

How to save Attachments in bank transactions that are in review? I want to save them but not confirm them yet. I read I need to save but don't see any option for this.

I'm here to provide clarity regarding saving attachments and guide you in adding them into transactions, r-kaper.

You'll have to choose the Add function to permanently append the attachments to your bank transactions. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu on the left panel and select Bank transactions.
  2. Click the Blue tile icon and choose your bank account from the list.
  3. In the For review tab, look for the entry you're working on and click on it to expand the line.
  4. Run through the transaction details and tap the Add attachment link to append the file.
  5. Tap the Add button once done.

However, if you're not ready to confirm or add the entries and prefer to save the attached files in the For review tab, the option is currently unavailable.

In addition, QuickBooks Online (QBO) allows you to append attachments to various transactions including bills, checks, credit card transactions, credit memos, and more. Also, use the supported file types to protect the security of your account:

  • PDF
  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • DOC
  • XLSX
  • CSV
  • TIFF
  • GIF,
  • XML.

Let me share this link that discusses the supported file types, and instructions to view, edit, or delete attachments: Add or delete attachments in QuickBooks Online.

In addition, categorize your banking data to the correct account and match them to the ones in your QuickBooks to keep your records organized.
