How to set up first account in QuickBooks online?

It's great to see a new face here in the Community. I can show you how to set up your first account in your QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

If you're trying to connect a bank or credit card account, here's how to do so: 

1. Go to the Banking tab on the left-hand menu bar. 
2. Choose the Banking portion of the page. 
3. Pick Connect Account on the landing page if this is your first time connecting. Press Add account or Link account if you've already created one. 

       4. Enter your bank name in the search bar. 

       5. Hit Continue and type in the username and password for your bank's website. 

       6. Follow the rest of the on-screen instructions. 

If you need to add another type of account, I can walk you through those steps as well. Here's how: 

1. Go to the Accounting tab on the left-hand side. 
2. Choose the Chart of Accounts section of the page. 
3. Press the New button. 

       4. Enter all the required info. 

       5. When you're done, hit Save and Close or Save and New.
