Question

I added a new checking account to my bank, but can't see the new account listed when trying to connect. How do I see the new account?

I'm here to help you figure this out, @OieD.

I appreciate you for adding a new checking account. I'm determined to help you get moving on the right track towards connecting your bank in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Here are some things you can check to ensure you can see your bank on the list.

  • Your bank has multiple names on our list. You can log in to your bank website, then copy the URL, and paste it to QBO.
  •  Your bank does not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs. business accounts).
  • Your bank isn't a participating financial institution.

If you have confirmed the required details, and you can't still find your bank. I'd recommend sending a request to support your bank.

Here's how:

  1. On the Connect an account page, enter your bank (i.e., name or URL).
  2. You'll get the message: Hmm, we can’t find [name of bank] in our list of supported banks.
  3. Click Still can't find your bank hyperlink.

       4. Enter your bank's website in the field provided.

       5. Tap Request

For additional reference, you can check this article: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking.

Alternatively, you can manually download the transactions from your bank's website and import them into QBO. This way, you can categorize and reconcile your accounts whenever you’re ready.

Additionally, I appended some articles that might help in connecting your bank and handling them.

Lastly, may I know what type of bank you have? So that I can check here on my end if there are any reported issues and will help me make sure that I can provide you with the exact resolution.

Let me know in the comments below if you have other banking concerns. I'm just around to help. Take care always.
