Question

I am in QBO Accountant view, credit card reconciliation history. Print is the only available Action option. Why am I not able to unreconcile a credit card?

Let me share you only have the Print option when trying to unreconcile the Credit Card account, drew-joosten-rev.

You can display your QuickBooks account in the business view and accountant view. However, only accountants with a QuickBooks Online Accountant subscription can undo a reconciled account.

For your QuickBooks account, you can unreconcile an individual transaction from a completed reconciliation. Here's how:

  1. Go to Accounting from the left menu, then select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account that has the reconciled transaction. Then select View register.
  3. Find the transaction. If the transaction is reconciled, you’ll see an “R” in the checkmark ✔ column.
  4. Select the transaction to expand the view.
  5. In the checkmark ✔ column, select the box with the “R” until the box is blank. This removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Close the account register.

There are a few things you need to consider when unreconciling a transaction. Please browse this article and check before following the steps above: Undo or remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online

Make sure to redo the reconciliation so the balance of the Credit Card account in QuickBooks matches with what's on the real bank account.

I'm also adding this article on how to display your QuickBooks account in two different ways: Learn more about each view and how to switch between them.

Stay in touch with me if there's anything else you need. I'll be right here to help manage your reconciled accounts.
