I am not able to connect to my Gate City Bank accounts. It worked Yesterday and now get a message that the bank is doing maintenance and they are not.

I'm here to help provide the steps when the bank's website is under maintenance, TJMelgaard.

 

When the Gate City Bank website is under maintenance or has server issues, it is usually resolved within 24 hours. You can manually update the online bank connection to fix the issue. 

 

Let me show you how:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to the Banking menu.
  3. Click Update.

 

On the other hand, you can check the bank's website and make sure everything is working on their end:

 

  • If you can't sign in, reach out to Gate City Bank about the next steps.
  • Look for any messages, notifications, or alerts. These will tell you if something isn't working.
  • Review your account pages, account history, and transactions. If you can't see these, there may be connection issues.

 

If everything looks good, refresh the connection in QuickBooks by following the steps above on how to manually update it.

 

If you're still seeing the error, wait a day and try to update again. Your bank needs time to fix everything if there are issues. After 48 hours, contact our QuickBooks Live Support Team. They can create a case to isolate the issue.

 

For now, you can download transactions from your bank and manually import them to QuickBooks.
