I'm here to lend a hand and help you navigate through unreconciling so you can timely correct your account, limerock.

To begin with, can you provide additional details on what’s preventing you from undoing your reconciliation? This will guide us in determining the right troubleshooting steps to resolve your concern.

When you want to undo the entire reconciliation, make sure that you're using QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA). Please note that this feature is only available in the mentioned version. Refer to this article for more in-depth information: Undo or remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.

For other QBO versions, you need to manually reverse the reconciliation or invite your accountant, as they have special permissions to undo the entire reconciliation. When you're ready, let's add your accountant to your company by following these steps:

  1. Log in to QBO as the primary admin.
  2. Navigate to the Gear icon and select Manage users.
  3. In the Accountants tab, click the Invite button.
  4. Enter your accountant's information or yours.
  5. Press the Save button.

Refer to this article for more insights about the process: Add accountant users in QuickBooks Online.

After your accountant gains access to your company, you can provide them with the following steps to unreconcile the account:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top and choose Reconcile under  the Tools column.
  2. On the Reconcile an account page, choose History by account.
  3. Click the Account drop-down and select the account you want to reconcile and date range from the dropdowns.
  4. Press the View report link to open the Reconciliation Report.
  5. Check for any discrepancies and changes your client wants to make.
  6. When you’re ready, select the dropdown ▼ in the Action column, and select Undo.
  7. Press the Yes button and then Undo to confirm.
