I have scans of checks and spreadsheets that I usually can add as attachments to a transaction, such as bank transactions. Today nothing happens when I click on Add attachment and click on the file.

Hi there, usertreasurer7.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll share details about attaching any attachments to entries.

The issue with clicking or adding existing attachments to transactions has been reported as an ongoing issue. Our product engineers are now working to fix this as soon as possible.

For now, you can upload the attachment file manually on the specific transaction to link this one to an entry as a workaround.

I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team, so they can add you to our notification list. This will help our engineers determine the number of affected users. You'll also receive an update through email once this has been resolved.

Here's how to contact them:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Account.
  2. At the top right, click the Help icon.
  3. Choose the Assistant section.
  4. Type your concern in the Type something field.
  5. Click Talk to a human.
  6. Click I still need a human.
  7. Click the Get help from a human.
  8. You'll be routed into the How can we help? page. Then, select callback or how you want to contact them and fill in the information.
