Question

I cannot find the Mobile Deposit option for my new QuickBooks Checking account? I have paper checks that I need to deposit. Please advise.

The mobile check deposit is available only on iOS devices. And, you can follow the step I've outlined below to deposit the funds.

 

Step 1: Enter the check information.

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online app from the mobile device.
  2. Click Cash Flow.
  3. From QuickBooks Checking balance, click Send Money.
  4. Select Deposit checks. (If you don't see this option, it means you aren't eligible yet).
  5. Enter the check amount.

Basically, what you just informed me is that I have no viable way of depositing this money (1) without an iPhone or iPad, and (2) if I am not yet eligible (which is vague). Why create a Checking account if I can't deposit checks? 

 

When will I be "eligible" (which, by the way, is vague and overbroad)?

 

When will the Android version be available? 

 

I need hard dates on these questions because I'm seriously considering dropping my account.

    We can't provide a definite date for when it will be available on Android devices this time. For now, I recommend providing our Development team with feedback. The likelihood of adding the feature in QuickBooks will increase as more feature requests they will receive.

     

    Here's how:

     

    1. Go to the Gear icon in the upper.
    2. Choose Feedback.
    3. Enter your suggestion, and click Next.
    4. Select a category.
    5. Click Send the message.

    First, did you receive a specific error message when depositing funds into your QuickBooks checking account? If you didn't but the issue persists, I suggest clearing the app's cache. By doing so, you can remove historical data and access QuickBooks with a clean state.

     

    To start, let's refresh your data to see the latest available information in your QuickBooks Online app to resolve this unexpected behavior.

     

    Here's how:

     

    iOS

    1. Go to Settings, then tap General.
    2. Click iPhone Storage, then tap the QuickBooks Online app.
    3. Select Offload App.

     

    This will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.

     

    Android

    1. Go to Menu ☰, then tap More Options ⋮.
    2. Select Settings, then Refresh Data.
    3. Click YES to confirm.

     

    If the issue persists, you can uninstall and reinstall the Online mobile application. Otherwise, if the problem continues, you can access QuickBooks Online using other supported browsers.
