I cannot see all the interest deposits for previous years. Where would I find them?

Your interest deposits are recorded under a specific account, doherty257, so let's visit your Chart of accounts to view your register and locate all the transactions you need. We'll guide you throughout the process.

Your chart of accounts lists all the accounts that QuickBooks uses to track your financial information. Once you enter and categorize your interest deposits into the appropriate one, you should be able to find them there. To go to this page, here's how:

  1. Go to Settings and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to review. Then, in the Action column, select View register.
  3. Select the Filter icon, then choose the filters you want to apply. You can use the Find field to search by amount, reference number, or memo.
  4. Click Apply.

If you haven't recorded your earned interests, use the Reconciliation page or the Bank deposit feature under an income account to track them. If you haven't added such an account, do so by following the steps in this article: Set up accounts to your chart of accounts.

Additionally, we recommend regularly reconciling your accounts (monthly) to effectively monitor your income and expenses in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
