Question

I created a sale receipt and customer paid cash. Now I want to deposit that into account. How do I do that? I can't even see where the cash went on quickbooks android?

The option to deposit the sales receipt in QuickBooks Online mobile app is unavailable.

 

While it's unavailable, I'd recommend submitting feedback within your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. This way, it goes to our product developers to help improve your experience while using the program.

 

As a workaround, I'd suggest accessing your QuickBooks Online account via web browser on your device and depositing the cash from there.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click + New in the left panel and choose Sales receipt.
  2. On the Sales Receipt screen, click the clock icon.
  3. Select the Sales Receipt you've created from android to open it.
  4. We can see where the cash went from the Deposit to field.

 

If you still need to deposit the cash into an account, we can simply change the Deposit to account from the sales receipt screen or we can follow the steps in this article make a deposit: Record and make bank deposits in QuickBooks Online.
