Question

I deleted 2 credit card deposits in error and now the downloaded deposits appear as uncategorized income. How do I correct? The customers do not show a balance .

Good morning, @info1740

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for support.

I recommend manually re-entering the deleted credit card deposits and manually categorizing the downloaded deposits. This way, the data is back in the account. I've included some steps to manually enter this data below.

To enter deposits manually:

1. In the left menu, click the +New button.

2. Under OTHER, select Bank Deposit.

3. On the Account menu, select your bank account.

4. Enter the Date.

5. Go to Add funds to this deposit section.

6. Enter the necessary information.

7. If there's a deposit you want to include in the Select the payments included in this deposit, put a checkmark for that transaction.

8. Select Save and new.

To manually categorize transactions:

  1. Find a downloaded transaction with the View option in the Action column.
  2. Select View.
  3. Review the Matching records found in QuickBooks. These are the possible matching transactions you already entered in QuickBooks.
  4. Click on the link next to each match to get more details.
  5. Make sure one of these is a match. In particular, review the Deposit toPayment method, and Bank account fields on forms for the existing transactions in QuickBooks.
  6. Compare the potential matches.
  7. When you find the correct match, close the open transactions.
  8. Tap the correct match and then hit Match.
