Question

I do not see the option in QuickBooks Online to set up instant deposit. What are the eligibility requirements?

Hello there, jonboudreaux.

Instant deposit feature is now available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). If you have a QuickBooks Payments account, you can request an instant deposit to collect customer payments into your bank account in just a few minutes. I'm here to share with you the details.

First, I recommend following these steps to request an instant deposit. You can do it before 3 PM PT to get your money on the same day. After 3 PM PT, the system process any remaining payments at the normal speed.

  1. Go to the Sales, then select Deposits.
  2. Click on Get it now in the instant deposit section.
  3. Review the total and associated fees.
  4. When you're ready, select Get it now.

Once done, you’ll see the money in your bank account in minutes. It may take up to 30 minutes depending on your bank. Also, an email notification will be sent to you after the amount is deposited.

Aside from that, you can also set an automatic or schedule instant deposits for certain days of the week. I'm adding this link as your reference: Get instant deposits in QuickBooks Online.

Just in case you're running into issues while working with instant deposits in the future, you can check out the troubleshooting steps provided from this article as your guide in fixing the errors: Get help with instant deposits.

Don't hesitate to reply if you have follow-up questions or concerns about this. I'm more than willing to assist you. Take care and have a happy weekend!

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. When I go to Sales > Deposits, I do not see an "Instant Deposit" section or anything that mentions instant deposit.

Perhaps once I make a sale, I need to go into QBO and request it then? Is that what I'm doing wrong?
