Question

I don't understand why certain transactions in my connected bank account are not showing up in my Quick Books self-employed transaction list. I do not have any filters set.

I'd be glad to help you with your banking concern, @sanjayakrishna.

May I know the name of your financial institution? This is to check if we have an open investigation.

If it's your first time connecting your online bank and credit card accounts, QuickBooks Self-Employed automatically downloads the last 90 days of transactions. This can is the reason why the bank entries from the first quarter are not showing up.

If the transactions were in QBSE already and didn't show up, let's manually update the connection between QBSE and your bank to start fresh.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top to choose Bank Accounts under Transactions.
  2. This will open the Connect another account window.
  3. From there, click on the Refresh all button.

In case you need more than 90 days of transactions, you can export additional historical transactions from the bank and upload them into your QuickBooks company. To do that, please refer to the steps found in this article: Manually add transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Also, if you encounter any errors, I’m adding a guide that contains a breakdown of articles on how to fix online banking issues. Just click this article for more details: Bank feeds.

Please know you can continue to reach me here with any additional questions. Thanks for coming to the Community, wishing you continued success.

Hi Josesem - thanks for your reply.  The financial institution in question is Capitol One.  However, I actually had a phone conversation with a customer service representatives and now have an investigation open so no further assistance needed from you on this.

Thank you kindly.

Sanjaya.
