I downloaded Pro Plus 21. How do I get 2018 content to switch to this newer version?

I acknowledge you for downloading the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Pro 2021. It's my pleasure to guide you on how you can get the 2018 content. Thus, you can switch this to your newer version of QuickBooks.

The company file will automatically flow to your QBDT Pro 2021 if you downloaded the version within your old account. You may refer to this article for more details: Upgrade to newer versions of QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, or Enterprise.

On the other hand, you'll want to upgrade your 2018 company file if you manually install the latest version. Let me show you. 

1. Open your new version of QBDT.
2. Click Open or restore an existing company. 
3. Choose Open a company file, then tap Next. 

      4. Browse your computer for your company file and select Open.

      5. Enter your admin credential, and click Update Now. 

      6. Tap Done.
