Hello there, strodewilliams-g.

I recognize the importance of being able to connect your Green Dot account to QuickBooks Online (QBO). This allows you to get the latest entries automatically.

Before we proceed, allow me to provide some information on why you’re unable to link the account.

  • Some banks have multiple names on our list. You might want to check and select the correct one or try all possible links.
  • The bank might not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs. business accounts).
  • The bank may not be a participating bank. You can contact the bank to request they establish a relationship with Intuit.

When you’re ready, let’s look for your bank and check the following:

  • Verify the spelling and make sure it’s exactly as it appears on your bank's website.
  • Use very specific names to look for your Financial Institution. If you still can't find anything, try broader names like "Citi."
  • Enter your bank's URL into the search. For example, search for "hsbc.com." for HSBC.
  • Look for the name of the issuing bank, meaning the one that issued your bank card. You can find the issuing bank's name on the back of your card. "Chase," "HSBC," or "Bank of America" should work, but "Visa" may be too generic.

If these suggestions don’t work, I recommend following the solution found in this article and then perform Steps 2-3: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking

I’m adding some great resources to help you in the future. The following links contain information about linking an account in QBO, classifying, and matching downloaded entries. From there, you’ll find solutions on how to fix online banking issues.
