Question

I have 2 transactions that downloaded from our bank online that caterogized them as a depost but they are debits. How can I change them to be able to reconcile?

You’ll need to delete those deposits in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and manually upload them. This way, you can change the category to debits and reconcile your account. Let me show you how.

 

  1. Go to the Transactions or Banking menu.
  2. Select the Banking tab.
  3. Click the blue tile of your preferred bank account.
  4. Go to the For review tab.
  5. Locate and select the (2) two downloaded deposits and select Exclude

Once done, log in to your bank's website and manually download those 2 transactions. Then, change the category to debits before uploading it to your account.

 

When finished, you can now match your transactions and reconcile your account whenever you're ready.
