Question

I have a bank account that was closed in June 2023. I'm trying to upload the CSV file, but it keeps getting rejected. help

the initial file that the bank emailed me was a PDF file. I have converted it to a CSV file. Is it because my bank account is closed that the file isn't working?

I can help ensure you can upload your CSV file successfully in QuickBooks Self-Employed, daisytattoo.

First, disconnect your bank account in the system before uploading the CSV file. I'll guide you through the process.

To disconnect or hide the account:

  1. Select the profile ⚙ icon and then Manage accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to hide.
  3. In the Show Account section, select the toggle to OFF.

Next, upload your bank transactions using the CSV file into your QBSE company. I'll gladly outline the steps below.

  1. Access your QuickBooks Self-Employed company.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Imports.
  3. Click Import transactions.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  5. Click Import.

For further guidelines, refer to this article: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Moreover, I've added these articles to help you manage bank transactions and check if your data is accurate inside QBSE:

Please let me know how it goes so I can provide further assistance if necessary. We're open 24/7 and ready to help you out again.

You can use the trial version of csv2qbo to isolate the problem.
