A "needs action" notification shows up if a forwarded receipt is not a match to any transactions you have in QuickBooks Self-Employed. If the bank is connected to Online Banking, you'll need to wait until QuickBooks download the transaction from your bank.
QuickBooks will automatically download transactions every night. If the transaction is already cleared in your bank, follow these steps on how to manually refresh the connection:
Go to the Gear icon and select Bank accounts.
Click Refresh all.
Once done, go back to the Transactions tab and check if the banking transaction is already downloaded. Then, click the notification again and provide the missing information.
