I have a transaction from when I was purchasing inventory and my card declined. How do I categorize that transaction in my bank feed?

Hi there, @gene-craftedcoyo. I'm here to guide you on how you can categorize your transactions in the bank feeds seamlessly.

If the bill has already been paid in QuickBooks, you can match the bill payment to the bank transaction. However, if the bill is still open and you haven't recorded a bill payment yet, you can match it directly to the bank transaction. To match or link the bank transaction to the bill payment or the bill, you can follow the steps below:

1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
2. Find the transaction you want to match. You can also review the match found to check if it's the correct entry.
3. Once done, you can click Match.

Next, create a bank deposit to reflect that there's money returned to the account. Here's how:

1. Click the +New button, then select Bank Deposit.
2. Select the credit card account, then in the Add funds to this deposit section, select the required fields.
3. Choose the Accounts Payable in the Account section, then enter the declined amount.
4. Click Save and close.

On the other hand, if you have money returned to the bank transaction with the same amount, you'll have to ensure to categorize it as Accounts Payable. 

1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
2. Find and click the transaction, then select the Vendor in the dropdown menu.
3. In the Category dropdown, select Accounts Payable
4. Click Confirm.

Also, you can undo or unmatch downloaded bank transactions or move them to another account.
