Hi there, @jallerdice.

I've come to share some information on how to handle QuickBooks Checking and QuickBooks Cash & Envelopes accounts showing in your bank accounts.

Depending on how you manage your transactions, you can delete the account you aren't using. However, if you use both accounts when recording your transactions in QuickBooks, you need to keep them to separate each balance of the accounts.

Here's how to delete an unused account:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click the Gear icon, then select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to delete.
  4. In the Action drop-down, select Delete.
  5. Click Yes to confirm.

If you're not confident to delete the account, I suggest consulting your accountant. This way, they can provide the best way to handle these accounts in QuickBooks.
