Help has arrived, @chris@optionalth. I'll make sure that you'll be able to connect your bank account on the Banking page in QuickBooks Online.

The banks that appear on the Banking page are the accounts connected. Even if they aren't connected, they will show up in the Banking menu if you import the transaction.

Otherwise, it will appear in the Chart of Accounts if your account isn’t connected or doesn’t have uploaded files. However, we can fix this by connecting your bank account from your chart of accounts.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to connect to.
  3. In the Action column, select the View register ▼ dropdown. Then select Connect bank.
  4. Select the accounts you want to connect, then select the account type ▼dropdown. Choose the account type that matches your chart of accounts in QuickBooks.
  5. Select how far back you want to download transactions.
  6. Click Connect.

For further details about connecting a bank and credit card accounts to QBO, feel free to check out this link. It includes steps on how to refresh your bank feed to download your latest transactions.

I appreciate the information, however, let me be a bit more detailed.

I have 3 bank accounts.

In Chart of Accounts I can see all 3.  And only 2 are linked.

In Banking, I can only see 2 of the 3.

I've connected, un-connected and connected several times as well as removed all history, cookies, caches, etc.  Nobody seems to have an answer for this.  Thanks,
