Question

I have deposits in my "To be deposited" But we created "deposits" to match the actual deposits so we could reconcile. Now I have 15 "to be deposited" sitting there.

If I delete the "To Be Deposited" transaction, it shows my customer is past due for that amount.

Hi there, Larry. Let me help you with handling your deposits in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Pending deposits that need to be deposited are your payment entries that sit under the Undeposited Funds (UF). For now, you need to delete the separate deposit you've created, then transfer the payments from UF to your bank account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the +New icon, then click on Bank Deposit.
  2. Select the bank account where you want to deposit the funds.
  3. Pick the pending payments from the Select the payments included in this deposit section.
  4. Save the transaction.

After that, the pending transactions go to your desired bank account. From there, you're now ready to keep track of your reconciliation.

In case you want to make changes or adjust your reconciliations, check out these links as your guide:

Let me know if you have any other questions about your deposits. I'm always here to help. Have a great weekend!
