Question

I have duplicate charges showing up. There usually is a few days in between and most are from Amazon. Am I doing something wrong on my end?

I have connected my Amazon Biz account to Quick books and it does show the duplicate charges. I don't know how to permanently delete these duplicates either...

I understand that you want to delete duplicate charges that show up when you connect your business account in QuickBooks, @cornvillelisaqb. Let me guide you on how to do that.

QuickBooks relies on the entries received from your financial institution, in your case, Amazon. Transactions are recorded in the system based on the cleared status provided by your bank.

If you have reviewed your bank statement and found duplicates in QuickBooks, consider following these steps to exclude and delete them permanently from your banking records:

  1. Go to Transactions and select Bank transactions
  2. Select the For Review tab and mark the checkbox of the transactions to exclude.
  3. Select Exclude, and they will be moved to the Excluded tab.
  4. Go to the Excluded tab and select the checkbox for the duplicates.
  5. Finally, click on the Delete button to remove them permanently.

Moreover, you can contact Amazon's customer support team as they can help you investigate and identify the root cause of the duplicate content. You can reach out to them either through their website or by phone.

For a better understanding of the process, you can refer to this article:  Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online.
