Question

I have multicurrency enabled. I want to create an invoice in my Home Currency and the have the exchange rate applied only to the total due. Is this possible?

Hi @userjilbear1,

Thank you for posting here in the Community. I can provide some clarification about your multicurrency concern in QuickBooks.

Currently, the option to apply the exchange rate to the total only is unavailable. The balance/total due of the invoice will depend on the currency of your customer.

Though, it would be beneficial to have the option to change the settings in the QBO version. Our engineers might be working to bring this feature over to this platform in the future. You can check our QuickBooks Blog for product updates.

For more information, as well as how to manually enter an exchange rate, I recommend the following article: About Multicurrency.

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions regarding your invoices in QuickBooks. I'll be happy to help you some more.

Explore these apps to deal with multi currency transactions. You can keep sending invoices in USD and your clients pay your invoices in their local currencies.
