Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser.

I'm here to make sure you'll be able to view the running balance on your accounts at all times in QuickBooks Online (QBO), info1986.

Let's ensure the QuickBooks balance and Bank balance are checked as a column in the small gear icon within your register.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions and select the Chart of accounts tab
  2. Click the Gear icon above the Action column.
  3. Put check marks on the QuickBooks Balance and Bank Balance boxes.

If the QuickBooks Balance and Bank balance are checked, and the running balance still isn't showing, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are times when the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, which causes some errors or unusual responses.

Let's start accessing your account using a different or private browser. You can use either of these shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once logged in, try to view your balance. If it works, I recommend clearing your browser's cache. Doing so will remove the historical data and access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also switch to a different supported browser.
