Question

I imported my Amex transactions and reviewed then added. They showed up when I went to reconcile my CC but after saving they are now gone? Still in register so I'm lost.

I understand the importance of having all your transactions accurately recorded, @mindcrafthuling. Allow me to help you with your missing transactions.

Once transactions are added and reconciled, they should stay in the bank register. However, there might be instances where certain transactions are not visible due to various reasons. One common reason is selecting an incorrect date when viewing your bank data.

To ensure that your bank data reappears, please double-check the date range you selected. Make sure it includes the period during which the missing transactions occurred. Adjusting the date range should help display the transactions you are looking for.

If the issue persists after selecting the correct date period, we can proceed with some troubleshooting steps. It could be due to outdated or faulty cache files in your web browser. To rule out the potential of a webpage issue, try accessing your account through an incognito window. To open an incognito window in any supported browser, use the following shortcut keys:

  • For Chrome and Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl+Shift+N
  • For Firefox, press Ctrl+Shift+P
  • For Safari, press Command+Shift+N

Alternatively, you can check out other supported browsers for the best QuickBooks Online experience.

You can also follow the troubleshooting steps in this article to look for missing transactions downloaded from your online bank and credit card accounts: What to do if you can’t find downloaded transactions in QuickBooks Online.
