I just purchased a Quickbooks account. I don't understand what "Quickbooks Desktop" is. Do I need it? I have a mac.

QuickBooks has multiple products. It helps your business with accounting books, manage bills, sends invoices, and completes payroll. 

You can use, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and QuickBooks Self-Employed. Each of them has a different number of features that can be used depending on your needs. 

QuickBooks Online is a software as s service accounting program that is hosted online, while QuickBooks Desktop is a locally-installed accounting program on your personal computer with a yearly subscription.
