Question

I'm fairly new to quickbooks. I can only access my bank records for the second half of the year. How do I get all of it?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, catherine-hillcr.

I want to ensure your first half of bank transactions are added to QuickBooks.

QuickBooks Self-Employed downloads transactions up to 90 days. In your case, you'll want to get the transactions from your bank and save it into CSV (comma-separated values. Then, import it in QBSE. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account in a web browser.
  2. Go to the Settings menu, then select Imports.
  3. Click Import older transactions for the account you want to add transactions.
  4. Click Browse to find the file you've downloaded from your bank.
  5. Select the file and click Open to start the import.
  6. Review the column headers and data and ensure the DateDescription, and Amount columns on the CSV match the columns and order in QuickBooks.
  7. Click Continue to complete the import.

Once done, you can review and categorize them.

I'm here to keep helping if you have any additional banking questions.

Another option, utilize MT Online as a workaround. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.
