Question

I'm missing my bank transactions between September and December 2023. I refreshed my bank connection, but they still don't show up. How can I remedy this?

Hello there. Let me guide you through restoring your missing transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

When you first connect your banks and credit cards to QuickBooks, it downloads the last 30 to 90 days of transactions and sometimes up to a year. Once connected, QuickBooks will automatically download new transactions from your connected accounts every time you sign in.

To retrieve the missing entries, you can manually add them using a CSV file from your bank. To ensure it will be compatible and imported successfully, use either a 3-column or 4-column format of your CSV file.

Here are the steps you can follow to import older transactions:

  1. Go to the Profile icon and click Imports.
  2. Select Import transactions.
  3. Click Import older transactions for the account you want to add transactions to.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  5. Hit Import.

Furthermore, you can check out this article for additional reference: Add Older Transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Once done, you can check out this article to learn how to categorize the transactions you download from your bank.: Categorize Transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know if you need further assistance getting your transactions from September to December 2023 or any QuickBooks-related queries. Keep safe.
