Question

I'm trying to link my business account to Quickbooks. When the option comes up to link, I see my personal accounts, but not my business account. Please advise.

Let me share some information on why you're unable to find the financial institution and the steps to help you out.

 

Here are a few possible reasons why you're having issues finding or connecting your bank account:

 

  • Your bank has multiple names on our list. Make sure you have selected the correct listing or have tried all possible links. Search by the banking sign-in URL to ensure you are using the correct listing.
  • Your bank does not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs business accounts).
  • Your bank is not a participating financial institution.

When you search for your bank, please check out the following:

 

  • Verify the spelling. Make sure the spelling is exactly as it appears on your bank's website.
  • Use very specific names to search for your bank. If you still can't find anything, try broader names like "Citi."
  • Enter your bank's URL into the search. For example, search for "hsbc.com." for HSBC.
  • Search for the name of the issuing bank, meaning the bank that issued your bank card. You can find the issuing bank's name on the back of your card. "Chase," "HSBC," or "Bank of America" should work, but "Visa" may be too generic.

If you're still unable to find your bank's name and still can't connect, you'll want to send request support for your bank.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Transactions or Banking on the left menu.
  2. In the Banking tab, type the name of your bank into the search box.
  3. Select Request to add your bank.
  4. Enter the bank name, bank URL, and your email address.
  5. Click Submit.
